Each layer was baked separately in a water bath in a glass loaf pan. It was chilled and served sliced. It was published in Food & Wine or some other gourmet magazine 19-26 years ago...a long time I know. I long to find this recipe. It was a beautiful presentation and really delicious.

I need a complete recipe for roti (chicken or goat) including the recipe for the bread type wrap.

I had a friend who always used to make roti for me and I would make my rice dish for her. My friend has passed away and I never did get the recipe because she was that special person who would make it and always gave me some because she knew I loved it. In return, I would always giver her my rice dish she loved so much. We never shared recipes because the we each had our own way and it seemed to taste better when she made it. I have gone to restaurants for roti, which is also good but it lacks that homie kind of style. I now need to learn how to make it properly. I think that each time I will make it, I can imagine Rose laughing at me and with me and all the fun times we shared. It's kind of sad that I didn't get her recipe from her, but I know I can do it once I get the recipe. After all any time you use that special ingredient (Love), food always tasts great when you are sharing, families together, enjoying meals from one country to another. Even our children loved our meals. We never had a time when our children would say, "I'm not eating that". Food always has a way of bringing people together. If you don't believe me, make something special and share it at work with a co worker, or any friend or neighbor you want to get together with.
